The government’s Executive Council is currently reviewing a recommendation to that effect, which if approved could lead to a new policy announcement as part of the revised Company Law, due later this year, according to the willness to bring new investors in the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum do support this idea, and he is also implementing other strategies to favorite opening of new companies.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce is pushing for having 100 percent ownership of businesses also outside Free Trade Zones and asked the government for considering the introduction of monetary policies, in order to enable banks to better provide funding for businesses at lower interest rates.
“This is in line with what the business community is expecting. It would support the business community in attracting more investment.. We are already seeing some tangible results, such as the call for the financial sector to ease financing of the business community,” said Hamad Buamim, general director of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, speaking to Emirates Business.
