With the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Dubai opens a door for those looking for the world of words where everything is possible by the art of expressing, writing and reading. It is an event of its own kind paving a new step to bring people of different backdrops to sharpen their knowledge of Literature.
Dubai welcomes everybody in the Middle East’s largest celebration of the written and spoken word. The event aims to promote education, debate and, above all, a love of reading and writing, in a celebratory and enjoyable way. It is a focal point where people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds are staged together with authors from around the world on a single platform.
Because of its increasing popularity, the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is known as the LitFest. It is a wonderful opportunity for UAE nationals, residents and visitors to meet renowned authors, writers, speakers and thinkers. Yet, another podium for those interested in attending literary discussions, listen to readings, participate in workshops, experience the exciting Fringe and children’s events.
The LitFest is a bit more exciting and special because it breaks down all barriers to communication as well offers a simultaneous translation between Arabic and English in all sessions. The 4th Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2012 is a gala event, which spreads idea of friendship as well as sharing.
