Dubai under a new light.. thanks to Barbara Moriconi

A small light becomes interior design element. In such a way it was born Barbara Moriconi’s art. An artist, more than a craftswoman. Magic becoming reality, more than interior design.

Barbara Moriconi’s interest gets his roots into antiquities and restoration, in particular with: candelabras, golden frames and similar; after a while, Barbara approaches art of lampshades, real objects of cult for all the people fond of this kind of things.

So, Barbara Moriconi’s passion grows up, her experience gets stronger, her creations arouse enthusiasm in tourists and collectors. The small shop-laboratory in Lucca, rich in magic atmosphere, gets to international level: Barbara Moriconi and her made-in-Italy creations land in Dubai.

Yes, you ready well! Dubai the super-technological city, Dubai the futuristic capital of the world.. Dubai discovers the great made in Italy creations by Barbara Moriconi: in them, light merges with silk, corals, laces, and all Barbara’s creativity makes true.

A bit of history of Barbara Moriconi

Barbara Moriconi starter her activity in the downtown of Lucca in 1997; her interior design shop-laboratory – where her creations take life – is located close to Piazza Grande and Cathedral, not far from the sculpture by Ilaria del Carretto.

In 2002 Barbara Moriconi got a wider range of artistic products, giving space to her creativity and starting to create with her own hands, what passion for lights, colours and magic astmosphere suggest her

Here it started the creation of splendid collection of unique and refined made in Italy objects: lampshades, lamps, appliqués, abatjours.. antique objects in wood or bronze, winsomely restored, golden candelabras and  frames, ancient mirrors.. and everything makes interior design and complete the decoration of houses, villas, offices, hotels, malls..

Barbara Moriconi searchs for, selects and use for her creations only prestigious and high quality materials: stones, swarosky, rare shells, palettes, coloured textiles.. everything needed to transform a light into interior design object.

Then, refining her capacity in interior design, and thanks to participation to courses and seminars, Barbara Moriconi completes her range of products, starting to project and furnish tents and all related to textile decoration and design.

Following her way and inspiration, Barbara Moriconi decided to expand towards new markets, in particular the ones in Middle East, starting from the magic Dubai, where her made-in-Italy creations will have an increasing success.

Barbara Moriconi actually is projecting her partecipation to Index Exhibition 2009 in Dubai, international event for the most important interior designers in the world.
