Il presidente della Repubblica Italiana, Giorgio Napolitano, invia attraverso una nota del Quirinale un messaggio per la fine del Ramadan, il nono mese del calendario islamico e che prevede per i musulmani la rigorosa osservanza del digiuno.

In tale occasione Giorgio Napolitano “rivolge ai musulmani residenti oggi in Italia, siano essi cittadini italiani o immigrati, i migliori auguri per questa festività, con l’auspicio che il nostro paese sia per tutti luogo di pace e serenità”.

Il prossimo Ramadan si svolgerà secondo le seguenti date:

Con il patrocinio di HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman della Emirates Airline, del Dubai International Marine Club e Presidente del Dipartimento dell’Aviazione Civile di Dubai, il Victory Team ha inaugurato il proprio quartier generale a Dubai a Novembre del 2002, con l’obiettivo principale di costruire e manutenere imbarcazioni da competizione, rigenerare motori e altre parti, e sviluppare le competenze di meccanici e ingegneri.  All’interno dello stabilimento si trovano laboratori in e due grandi banchi prova grado di sviluppare e collaudare tutto l’equipaggiamento di una imbarcazione, inclusi gli scafi e i motori a benzina e diesel.

La tecnologia di sviluppo dei materiali compositi utilizzati per gli scafi ed altre parti, si avvale di strumentazioni e dispositivi in grado di mantenere la temperatura nei range desiderati. 1. فِي يَوْمٍ مِنْ الأيَّام[1]ِ فَصّلِ آلرَبِيعِ[2] ، سَمِعَ آلمُعَلِِّمُ صِيَاحَ عُصْضُورٍ ، فَأَمَرَ وِسَاماَ[3] بِاسْتَطْلاَعَ الأمْرِ . تَوَجَه وِسَامُ  نَحْوَ آلصَّوْتِ ، فَسَمِعَ عُصْفُرًا يَصِيحُ فَوْقَ شَجَرَةٍ .

In un giorno di primavera , il maestro ha udito il canto di un uccellino

ed ha chiesto a Uisàm di interessarsi della faccenda. Uisàm si volta in direzione del suono

ed ha sentito un uccellino che canta su di un albero.

2. شَاهَدَ وِسامُ قِطًّا تَحْتَ آلشَجرَةِ ، يَنْظُرُ إلَى آلعُصْفُرِ ، وَيَسْتَعِدُّ لِأفِتْرَاسِهِ ، وَمَتَىْ رَأَى[4] آلقِطُّ وِسَاما فَوراً فَرّ[5]َ هَارِبًا .

a divorarlo,  il gatto è subito scappato non appena ha visto Uisàm.

3. تَسَلَّقَ وِسَامُ الشَجَرَةَ ، فَوَجَدَ عُصْفُورَا مَكْسُرَ الجَنَاحِ ، لاَ    يَسْتَطِيعُ الطَيَرَانَ ، فَأمْسَكَهُ بِلُطْفٍ وَ أَسْرَعَ بِهِ نَحْوَ مَكْتَبِ المُدِيرِ فَوَجَدَهُ فَارِغًا.

non ha potuto farlo volare , quindi lo ha preso con dolcezza e si è affrettato per lui in direzione dell’ufficio del preside

e  ha trovato quest’ultimo[6] disponibile.

4. تَرَكَ وِسَامُ العُصْفُرَ فَوْقَ المَكْتَبِ ، وَ عِنْدَ البَابِ آعْتَرَضَهُ المُدِيرُ ، فَقَالَ لهُ وِسَامُ : لَقََدْ أتَيْتُكَ[7] بِهَذَا العُصْفُرِ يَا سَيِّدي ، وَ لاَ أَدْرِي مَنْ كَسَرَ جَنَاحَهُ .

5. شَكَرَ المُدِيرُ وِسَامًا عََلَى صَنِيعِهِ ، وَ قَدَّمَ لَهُ جَاإِزَةً ، شُمَّ ضَمَّدَ جَنَاحَ العُصْفُورِ ، وَ وَضَعَهُ فِي قَفَصِ صَغِيرٍ ، بِهِ حِنْطةُ وَمَاءُ ، وَ عَلَقَ القَفَصَ بِمَكَانٍ عَالٍ .

Il direttore ha ringraziato Uisàm da parte del suo uccellino e gli ha dato un premio, poi ha bendato l’ala dell’uccellino e lo ha messo in una piccola gabbia, con frumento ed acqua, quindi ha appeso la gabbia in un posto alto.

6. خَرَجَ وِسَامُ مِنْ مَكْتَبِ المُدِرِ فَرِحًا ، وَ فِي سَاحَةِ المَدْرَسَةِ شَاهَدَ وِسَامُ القِطَّ ، يَنَظُرُ إلَيْخهِ ، كَأَنَهُ يَقُولَ لَهُ : لِمَاذَا حَرَمْتَنِهِ مِنْ أَكْلِ العُصْفُورِ ؟

7. دَخَلَ فَصْلَهُ ، فَسَأَلهُ المُعَلِّمُ : مَا سَبَّبَ تَأخِيرَكَ يَا وِسَامُ ؟

حَكَى وِسَامُ مَا جَرَى أَمَامَ التَلاَمِيذِ .

فَكَالَ لَهُ المُهَلِّمُ : أَحْسَنْتَ صُنْعًا يَا وِسَامُ.

Uisàm ha raccontato ciò che è accaduto davanti agli studenti.

Successivamente l’insegnante gli ha detto: o Uisàm hai agito bene.

[1] Si tratta di stato costrutto. In arabo si ricorre alla costruzione: nome indeterminato +  ﻣﻥ  + nome plurale senza articolo quando il secondo termine dell’annessione è indeterminato. E’ proprio per evitare l’ambiguità che deriva dalla indeterminazione che si ricorre a tale costruzione. La traduzione letterale sarebbe: un giorno dei giorni.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani (persiano: سکينه محمدي آشتياني, azero: Səkinə Məhəmmədi Aştiani) (Teheran, 1967) è una donna iraniana, nel braccio della morte in Iran dal 2006.

Il suo caso è internazionalmente noto, dopo la condanna a morte tramite lapidazione per il reato di adulterio e favoreggiamento in omicidio. La magistratura iraniana ha negato questa versione, sostenendo che la donna è stata condannata per omicidio, e ha respinto l’accusa secondo la quale Ashtiani sarà lapidata. Una campagna internazionale iniziata dai suoi figli ha portato a conoscenza del suo caso.

Il fatto

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani è stata condannata per la prima volta il 15 maggio del 2006, dal tribunale Tabriz (Iran), per il reato di “relazione illecita” con due uomini in seguito alla morte del marito. Fu condannata a ricevere 99 frustate; a settembre 2006 ricevette una nuova condanna quando un tribunale penale accusò uno dei due uomini per il coinvolgimento nella morte del marito di Mohammadi Ashtiani: lei fu accusata di favoreggiamento. Per questo venne condannata per adulterio mentre ancora sposata, e condannata a morte per lapidazione, condanna che dovrebbe aver luogo alla fine del ramadan, il 14 settembre 2010. Il suo avvocato sostiene che sia stata torturata per due giorni prima del colloquio

Quando le pietre lo colpirono egli fuggì, ma fu catturato e lapidato finché non morì. Il Profeta in seguito parlò bene di lui e gli tributò le preghiere al funerale”.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani (Persian: سکينه محمدي آشتياني , Azerbaijani: Səkinə Məhəmmədi-Aştiani, born 1967) is an Iranian woman convicted of murder and adultery. She has been on death row in Iran since 2006. Her controversial case became internationally known in 2010 after high profile reports that she was convicted for the crime of adultery and sentenced to execution by stoning.

The sentence will be executed at the end of ramadan, September 10th, 2010.

She was first tried on May 15, 2006, by a court in Tabriz ((ITAN), pleading guilty to the crime of “illicit relationship” with two men and sentenced to whipping of 99 lashes. In September 2006 her case was again brought up when a separate court was prosecuting one of the two men for involvement in the death of Mohammadi, Ashtiani’s husband. She was then convicted of adultery while still married, and sentenced to death by stoning. She later retracted her confession to this crime, claiming it was made under duress and that she doesn’t speak Persian, but instead only Azeri.  Her lawyer claimed she was tortured for two days prior to the interview.

In performing Stoning or lapidation, no particular person out of the stone throwing group could be held responsible or identified as the one who actually killed the subject. This is in contrast to the case of a judicial executioner. Death by stoning is slower than other forms of execution, hence is a form of execution by torture.

According to the Holy book of Islam the Quran all sexual intercourse outside the marital bond is considered sinful. It makes no distinction between adultery and fornication; in both case the punishment is flogging to those found guilty Quran (24:2). Some Muslim scholars take the view that stoning to death was never contemplated by Islam as a punishment for the act of adultery since the Quran does not even mention the word ’stoning’ or ‘death by stoning’ in any of its verse,on the other hand many Islamic legal scholars and judges agree that the Quranic text does not refer to executions by stoning but state they are part of the Hadith, and go back to the Pentateuch, execution by stoning is thus in harmony with the 613 laws which make up the Mosaic laws in the Bible.

Stoning is practiced in Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, and Nigeria; in some of those countries, this practice has been introduced recently.

RICETTA: SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA

INGREDIENTI per 4 persone
* Pancetta a dadini o listarelle
150 gr.
* Olio
2 cucchiai
* Pecorino
100 gr.
* Pepe
secondo i gusti
* Spaghetti o vermicelli o bucatini
400 gr.
* Uova
4 rossi + 1 intero

Mettere sul fuoco una pentola contenente abbondante acqua; a bollore salare moderatamente (la pasta avrà già un condimento forte e sufficientemente salato)
Introducete quindi gli spaghetti nell’acqua.

Nel frattempo friggere i dadini di pancetta fino a quando il grasso non sia diventato trasparente e leggermente croccante, quindi togliere dal fuoco e lasciate intiepidire leggermente.
In alternativa far saltare in una padella antiaderente senza aggiungere olio (così da allegerire la ricetta).
Sbattere intanto le uova in una ciotola quindi unire il pecorino,  il pepe macinato (quanto basta) e, nel momento in cui scolerete la pasta, la pancetta ancora calda.
Scolare la pasta e versarla ed amalgamarla nella ciotola unitamente alla salsa precedentemente preparata.
Evitare di far saltare la psta in padella altrimenti ciò causerebbe la cottura delle uova.
Servire gli spaghetti alla carbonara immediatamente e all´occorrenza guarrnire con altro pecorino e pepe nero macinato.

RECIPE: SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA

Ingredients:

* 1 lb. spaghetti or vermicelli or bucatini pasta
* 8 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
* 4 egg yolks + 1 egg
* 1 cup grated Pecorino cheese
* 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bacon in a heavy skillet until crisp. Remove bacon from pan and drain on paper towels. Set bacon aside. Set skillet aside; do not rinse or wash.
Cook the pasta. Meanwhile, combine the eggs, the Pecorino cheese, nutmeg, and pepper in a medium bowl and beat until well blended.
When the pasta is cooked, drain, and immediately add to the skillet with the bacon drippings. Do not place tha pasta with sauce on the heat again, otherwise you will cook the eggs, getting an omelette!
You may add some more Pecorino cheese and pepper. Serve immediately. Serves 4

On the September, 10th 2010, for the Muslims is Eid ul-Fitr

Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity”, while Fiṭr means “to break the fast” festivity symbolising the breaking of the fasting period.

Muslims are commanded by the Qur’an to complete their fast on the last day of Ramadan and then recite the Takbir prayer all throughout the period of Eid.The fasting period observed Holy month of Ramadan hard proved metabolism. We do recommand not to exceed with the food in this period, specially in first days after Ramadan, to let the body accustoms again to the usual feeding. See also healthy tips in this blog.

Eid ul-Fitr is a three day celebration and is sometimes also known as the “Smaller Eid” (Arabic: العيد الصغير al-‘īdu ṣ-ṣaghīr‎) as compared to the Eid ul-Adha that lasts four days and is called the “Greater Eid” (Arabic: العيد الكبير al-‘īdu l-kabīr‎). Common greetings during this Eid ul-Fitr are the Arabic greeting ‘Īd mubārak (“Blessed Eid”) or ‘Īd sa‘īd (“Happy Eid”). So we wish to everybody:

On November, 16th Muslims will celebrate world wide Eid al-Adha (in Arabic: عيد الأضحى‎ ‘Īdu l-’Aḍḥā) the “Festival of Sacrifice” or “Greater Eid”, an important religious holiday to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. Eid is also about spending time with family and friends, sacrifice, and thanksgiving for being able to afford food and housing. In traditional or agrarian settings, each family would sacrifice a domestic animal, such as a sheep, goat, cow, or camel. The meat is divided into three equal parts to be distributed to others: one third to family, another third to other relatives (friends or neighbours), and the other third is given to the poor as a gift.

Eid al-Adha is the latter of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from the Quran. Like Eid Ul Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a short prayer followed by a sermon.

MESSAGE POUR LA FIN DU RAMADAN

Chers Amis Musulmans,

1. ‘Id al-Fitr, qui conclue le Ramadan, constitue, encore une fois, une occasion propice pour vous faire parvenir les vœux amicaux de sérénité et de joie du Conseil Pontifical pour le Dialogue Interreligieux.

Tout au long de ce mois, vous vous êtes engagés à prier, jeûner, venir en aide aux plus nécessiteux et fortifier les rapports de parenté et d’amitié. Dieu ne manquera pas de récompenser ces efforts !

2. Je me réjouis aussi de savoir que des croyants d’autres religions, surtout des chrétiens, vous sont spirituellement proches en ces jours, comme en témoignent les rencontres amicales qui souvent donnent lieu également à des échanges de nature religieuse. Il m’est agréable également de penser que ce Message pourra être une contribution positive à vos réflexions.

3. Le thème retenu cette année par le Conseil Pontifical, Chrétiens et Musulmans : ensemble pour vaincre la violence interconfessionnelle, est malheureusement d’actualité, du moins dans certaines régions du monde. Le Comité Mixte pour le Dialogue du Conseil Pontifical et du Comité Permanent d’al-Azhar pour le Dialogue entre les Religions Monothéistes l’avait d’ailleurs choisi comme sujet d’étude, de réflexion et d’échange à l’occasion de leur dernière réunion annuelle (Le Caire, 23 – 24 février 2010). Je me permets de partager avec vous quelques unes des conclusions publiées à la fin de cette rencontre.

4. Parmi les causes de la violence entre croyants se trouve la manipulation de la religion à des fins politiques ou autres ; la discrimination basée sur l’ethnie ou l’identité religieuse ; les divisions et les tensions sociales. L’ignorance, la pauvreté, le sous-développement, l’injustice sont encore autant de sources directes ou indirectes de la violence entre les communautés religieuses, mais aussi à l’intérieur d’elles-mêmes. Puissent les autorités civiles et religieuses apporter leur concours afin de remédier à tant de situations en vue du bien commun de toute la société ! Puissent les autorités civiles faire valoir la supériorité du droit en assurant une vraie justice pour arrêter les auteurs et les promoteurs de la violence !

5. Des recommandations importantes figurent également dans ce texte : ouvrir nos cœurs au pardon mutuel et à la réconciliation, en vue d’un vivre en commun paisible et fructueux ; reconnaître ce que nous avons en commun et respecter les différences, comme base d’une culture du dialogue ; reconnaître et respecter la dignité et les droits de chaque être humain, sans aucune distinction basée sur l’ethnicité ou l’affiliation religieuse ; nécessité de promulguer des lois justes qui garantissent l’égalité fondamentale entre tous ; importance de l’éducation au respect, au dialogue et à la fraternité dans les divers espaces éducatifs : à la maison, à l’école, dans les églises et les mosquées. Ainsi pourrons-nous contrecarrer la violence confessionnelle et promouvoir la paix et l’harmonie entre les diverses communautés religieuses. L’enseignement des chefs religieux, mais aussi les manuels scolaires ayant le souci de présenter les religions d’une manière objective, revêtent, au même titre que l’enseignement en général, une importance décisive dans l’éducation et la formation des jeunes générations.

6. J’espère que ces considérations, ainsi que les réactions qu’elles susciteront entre vous et avec vos amis chrétiens, pourront contribuer à la poursuite d’un dialogue toujours plus respectueux et serein, sur lequel j’invoque les bénédictions de Dieu !

MESSAGE FOR THE END OF RAMADAN

Dear Muslim Friends,

1. ‘Id Al-Fitr, which concludes Ramadan, presents, once again, a favorable occasion to convey to you the heartfelt wishes of serenity and joy on behalf of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

Throughout this month, you have committed yourselves to prayer, fasting, helping the neediest and strengthening relations of family and friendship. God will not fail to reward these efforts!

2. I am delighted to note that believers of other religions, especially Christians, are spiritually close to you during these days, as is testified by the various friendly meetings which often lead to exchanges of a religious nature. It is pleasing to me also to think that this Message could be a positive contribution to your reflections.

3. The theme proposed this year by the Pontifical Council, Christians and Muslims: Together in overcoming violence among followers of different religions, is, unfortunately, a pressing subject, at least in certain areas of the world. The Joint Committee for Dialogue instituted by the Pontifical Council and al-Azhar Permanent Committee for Dialogue among the Monotheistic Religions had also chosen this topic as a subject of study, reflection and exchange during its last annual meeting (Cairo, 23 – February 24, 2010). Permit me to share with you some of the conclusions published at the end of this meeting.

4. There are many causes for violence among believers of different religious traditions, including: the manipulation of the religion for political or other ends; discrimination based on ethnicity or religious identity; divisions and social tensions. Ignorance, poverty, underdevelopment are also direct or indirect sources of violence among as well as within religious communities. May the civil and religious authorities offer their contributions in order to remedy so many situations for the sake of the common good of all society! May the civil authorities safeguard the primacy of the law by ensuring true justice to put a stop to the authors and promoters of violence!

There are important recommendations also given in the above mentioned text: to open our hearts to mutual forgiveness and reconciliation, for a peaceful and fruitful coexistence; to recognize what we have in common and to respect differences, as a basis for a culture of dialogue; to recognize and respect the dignity and the rights of each human being without any bias related to ethnicity or religious affiliation; necessity to promulgate just laws which guarantee the fundamental equality of all; to recall the importance of education towards respect, dialogue and fraternity in the various educational arenas: at home, in the school, in churches and mosques. Thus we will be able to oppose violence among followers of different religions and promote peace and harmony among the various religious communities. Teaching by religious leaders, as well as school books which present religions in an objective way, have, along with teaching in general, a decisive impact on the education and the formation of younger generations.

6. I hope that these considerations, as well as the responses which they elicit within your communities, and with your Christian friends, will contribute to the continuation of a dialogue, growing in respect and serenity, upon which I call the blessings of God!
