A website to plan your journey with Dubai Metro
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) launched a portal inegrated with GIS (Geographical Information System) technology: this system will provide passengers with information about Dubai Metro lines, stations, timetable, multi-modal interchange points and all possible information provided by GIS technology. Abdul Majeed Abdul Razak Al Khaja, CEO of RTA, put in evidence the importance of the launch of the website, together with the official inauguration of the Dubai Metro (scheduled for the 9-9-9 September 9th 2009): “Launching this website, which is based on GIS technology, is a key initial step tpwards introducing the public and visitors to the Dubai Metro”. 24 hours trip in Dubai
We approach at midnight the Dubai international airport DXB. We are coming from: Maldives. Still confused because of the flight, we start facing our issue: what to do in following 24 hours in Dubai, before leaving away? Trip booked with the Tour Operator, includes a hotel somewhere here in Dubai, where we could go and sleep, waiting for the connection flight, but we don’t want to waste our first 24 hours in Dubai.. we will sleep during the flight that will return us back home, tomorrow at this hour. Resident VISA for Dubai & UAE..? Fingerprint required..!
People applying for a Resident VISA in the UAE will be required to give their fingerprints. Purpose of this procedure, set up by Federal Naturalisation and Residency Department and announced by Nasser Al Awadi Al Minhali, its general director, is to be sure about identity of applicants and to make sure they have no criminal record. Residents living in the UAE will be fingerprinted when applying for renewal of their visa. Cost for the applicant has not been defined yet. A fingerprint database will be set up in Naturalisation and Residency Department in order to observe all across the UAE, activities and people potentially dangerous and keep the high level of security. 24 ore a Dubai.. itinerario di viaggio
Arrivo a mezzanotte all’aeroporto di Dubai. Provenienza: Maldive. Ancora un po’ sfasati dal viaggio, ci poniamo il problema di cosa fare in queste 24 ore di scalo. Il pacchetto viaggio prenotato prevede un hotel in una non precisata zona, ma a noi non va di sprecare le prime 24 ore a Dubai della nostra vita a dormire.. avremo tempo di dormire in aereo durante la coincidenza, il cui check in è previsto domani alla stessa ora di adesso. Cosa fare? Come prima cosa recuperiamo il bagaglio, quindi dirigiamoci verso l’uscita. Sarà facile individuare la fila dei taxi.
